May update

My apologies for not writing anything since March in this space. I’ve put a few things on Facebook and Twitter, but haven’t had a big enough update to post here. Unfortunately, I still don’t! My non-writing life has been jam packed in the last few months. I’ve managed to get some writing in—for example, Training to Love It is only a chapter or two away from completion. I’ve also got a new book in the works (something that I thought would be just a short story but has blossomed into a full-on novel).

So in short, here are a few quick updates:

  • All the books in this post are still in the works, including the novel and the book of short stories
  • Max Sebastian has a new book out called, My Wife, the Seductress
  • Ben Boswell’s Whatever It Takes is also out
  • Kirsten McCurran has an upcoming book by the name of Hot Dates: Becoming a Shared Wife

Hopefully my next post will be more exciting, but I wanted you all to know that I’m still alive and still writing. Thanks for the continued feedback and encouragement.

Upcoming stories and cover reveals

Little Miss Calculation was published in November. Here we are, almost June of the next year, and for that, I apologize. But that’s not to say I haven’t been busy. In fact, I’m making the leap from the free sites to the world of publishing, and to kick things off, I’m going to release three stories at once: While She Watches, Eight Hundred Dollar Heels, and a slightly revised After School Special (which will be a free download). I’ve already designed the covers, so hopefully they will be available in the next week or two

While She Watches

A charity auction brings out Cara’s wildest fantasy yet; she wants to watch Nick with her best friend, Elise. While Nick is into his girlfriend’s crazy fantasy—after all, Elise is a pretty brunette with a body that makes him want to do bad things to her—he never considers really doing it. That would be insane, right? However, when he wins a date with Elise at a charity auction, Nick discovers Cara plans to make her fantasy a reality.

Eight Hundred Dollar Heels

Looking at her reflection, Deanna can barely recognize herself. She’s used to being pretty, sure, but the brunette sitting at the hotel bar looks as good as the $800 heels she’s wearing–she knows this because of all the stares she gets from the men around. Not that they have a chance; she has a good husband and a comfortable life waiting for her on the other side of the country. Question is, can the woman in the mirror remember that?

After School Special

When Andy’s friends convince him to visit a strip club in their final summer before college, shy Andy has a few things to worry about. Running into his history teacher, Ms. Fischer, was never one of them.

Moonlighting as a cocktail waitress at a strip club, Hayley Fischer is just as freaked out as Andy when her former student walks through the door. Is this a nightmare scenario for both? Or possibly a dream come true?

Originally published on kennywriter.com, this updated version will be free to download. I’ve updated the version on this website with the latest edition.

The world of erotica needs more stories written for guys, by guys, and this is my offering (hopefully the first of many). If you’re not familiar with my style, poke around this site. I try to write sexy, explicit, and often romantic erotica with characters I could fall in love with and plots that stay with me long after I’m done with them. Look for them soon. I’d love to hear what you think.

Juggling act of a writer

When writing a story, I find that I often feel like a juggler: characters, plots, twists, intricacies, I have to keep track of them all as they rise and fall. This is my process. It’s not the best process in the world, but it works for me, most of the time. It lets me stay organic while still dealing with outlines. It lets me write in a non-linear fashion if need be while still keeping things consistent.

Thing is, I can’t write like that with multiple stories going on at once, which is where I am currently. And even more to the point, I can’t write like a juggler when I feel like so much of my life is being juggled. My wife and I are moving out to the burbs (yup, the kid is just about a year, so the timeline fits, right?), my job has gotten remained crazy. Things keep going wrong in the place we’re selling. Oh yeah, and it’s the holidays.

In order for the juggling act to be successful, you need to be focused. A lot of details are being kept in your head and as soon as something comes in to distract it, something is bound to fall. I feel like stories are falling around me all the time. I’ve got this really great angel story for the holidays, I’ve got my voyeur story for Ellora’s erotica for men line, I’ve got a nice collaborative story ready for editing from a new author-friend, and then a handful of near completed works that I want to get to. And they’re all lying around me in a sad clutter.

Well, it’s time to start picking things up again. Hopefully by the new year, things will have calmed down more and you’ll see new things from me!

Where’s the new stuff?

Short answer, it’s coming. Had some things come up in my life that put a temporary hold on the writing front. First one was good — a trip to Cali for a friend’s wedding. Second one was bad — break-in while we were away that resulted in both of our computers stolen. But I choose to see the sunny side of this. Nothing that couldn’t be replaced was taken. No one was hurt. Cat’s still alive. All our files (including photos and stories) were backed up. And I got to upgrade my three year old computer (although Adobe CS is going to be a bitch to replace).

I was about 50% through the editing of a completed story when this adventure began. That should be finished and posted shortly. Then I have a few other things I can hopefully get back to without too much trouble. Not sure I’ll be able to finish one of those projects in time for Literotica’s Summer Lovin’ story contest, but I was beginning to wonder if maybe I should try shopping that story around, anyway (and I do have a back-up plan).

I’m over half of the way through a fairly short piece that I’ve been working on my phone (crazy, I know, and really inefficient, but something is better than nothing).

Oh, and there’s also that short paranormal contest that I haven’t forgotten about. That one is coming along in stutters. Will get there. It’s only early August, right?

New story almost ready

Just a head’s up to anyone reading this. I’ve completed a final read through of a new story (that was actually finished a little while back). This one’s about a kid’s first time at a strip club and an interesting encounter he has there. No, it’s not with a stripper, it’s far more unique. Anyway, I’m passing it on to my editor (who doubles as my wife) and will post when she’s finished with it.

I’m still working on the Little Miss sequel, don’t worry. The plan is that the story arc will cover three parts. I’m almost done with the first (just have to write the naughty parts).
