Recommended reads for August

I can’t believe that we’re already in August. Part of me is still in the mindset that 2014 has only just begun, and yet we’re already over halfway through the year. I’ve been pretty quiet of late in the blogosphere, but I promise you that I’m being productive behind the scenes. Those who’ve been following along know I’ve got a novel in the works called Training to Love It. Well, that project has spawned a whole bunch of others, including a sequel to Something Forbidden that will set things up for Training. It had begun as a short, unfolded into a novella, and now I’m thinking it may be a book of its own. Leave a comment here if you’d be interested in that sort of thing.

In the lack of anything substantive to say beyond the above, I’ll give you a few recommended reads for this month, from my favorite authors.

killer-ep1Killer of a One Night Stand, Episodes 1 and Episode 2

by Max Sebastian

Don’t let the thriller angle fool you, these books are scorching…and feature a prominent wife-watching/sharing element to them. The story follows Jonah Fielding as he investigates his brother’s murder in the most unconventional way: by joining a dating site that caters to married men and women looking for discreet, no-strings attached sex. There, Jonah begins to get sucked into a world where husbands not only let their wives play, but get off on it. Will he uncover the killer before it’s too late?

Max Sebastian is rolling out this serial about every month (he’s a machine!). Episode 2 was released today, with Episode 3 due out in September. I was fortunate enough to get a peek at episode 2 a couple weeks back and I can tell you, it’ll leave you wanting more.

hotdates-finalHot Dates: Becoming a Shared Wife

by Kirsten McCurran

Kirsten’s latest is also one of my favorites. She tells the wife’s side of the wife-sharing kink so well, and Hot Dates is a shining example of that. I love how this story unfolds episodically, with each chapter detailing another step Dana and her husband take into the world of “hotwifing.” It’s not only erotic, but it feels authentic.

Also, for those who’ve already picked it up, you’ll be pleased to hear that Kirsten is working on a sequel, so stay tuned for that.

And lastly, if you haven’t picked up my anthology, Wife Sharing Shorts, Vol. 1, it’s available over on Amazon. It’s not a novel, but if you’ve liked my books, I’m sure there’s something in there for you.

Have a great August. Stay cool, and stay tuned for more.
